Get started as a teacher

Schackappen is a digital chess learning tool for children aged 6–12. Here's how to get going: create your account, create your class and share the class code — and your students are up and running. It only takes a few minutes.

1. Create your account

1. Your principal invites you. You get an email ("Du är inbjuden!" / You're invited) — click the link. (No email? Check your junk folder, or ask your principal to send you the link directly.)
2. Fill in your name, the same email address the invitation was sent to and a password. Click "Skapa konto" (Create account) — you're logged in right away.
3. Done! You are connected to your school.

2. Create your class and students

1. In the teacher portal (portal.schackappen.se) click "+ Skapa ny klass" (+ Create new class) and get a class code.
2. Add your students (name + figure) — each student gets a personal PIN.
3. Share the class code + PIN with the students.
4. The student goes to skola.schackappen.se, enters the class code, selects their name in the list and enters their PIN — no email, no personal password.

A student lost their PIN?

No problem — you reset it yourself on the student's card in the portal. The student then logs in with the new PIN, and all statistics and progress remain.
